Beautifully located in the middle of Menzenschwand-Hinterdorf right next to the heart of the Hochschwarzwald. Feldberg and Herzogenhorn are a 2-3h hike away, depending on how many pictures you take. Also the waterfalls of Menzenschwand-Hinterdorf are just 20min away by foot (they are illuminated in the evenings). Next time I probably stay for multiple days as it offers great options for hiking.

Excellent host and apartment. We stayed just one night, but we were well taken care of. Simple but comfortable and cozy apartment with all necessary amenities, good location to explore the surroundings, a lot of materials and maps available. Good Internet. Parking available.

Hosts both speak 5 languages and can communicate with all guest fluently. Full breakfast spread with meats, cheeses, home made jams and all kinds of breads. Breakfast room stays open 24/7, so a free snack and a drink can be found after coming in from a long hike in mid afternoon. The place was fully booked, but never felt crowded, not even at 8 am for breakfast. Wifi is excellent. Beds are made daily and are super comfy. Hot showers throughout the day. BnB is located 1/3 mile from the popular restaurants and shops by the lake, yet gives peace and quiet any time of day. Restaurants downtown offer traditional Schwartzwald cuisine, but also pizza and Indian food can be found.
