The property is right on the beach, and what beach it is! Totally clean, wide, sandy, with roaring waves that put you to sleep each night. At night, in winter months, five species of turtles come to lay eggs and I saw them each night. There is a river cutting the beach in two; and when you cross the river, the beach becomes just impeccable. Magical. You can even enter the river that runs to the sea and swim upstream. The vistas you get around you are simply breathtaking. I have never seen such beauty in my life and I have traveled quite a bit. The bungalows are simple, but clean and comfortable. The mosquito net worked very well, but there were very few mosquitoes anyway there. I took the Malarone daily, but people around me did not. I asked around the long time residents and no-one ever had malaria, while living on the island. I would not take them pils again. There is a shared toilet and shower there - both very clean and functional. The water in the shower is cold-lukewarm- but you will pray it were colder, since it is hot outside. The owner Tomás is truly very helpful. He speaks ONLY Spanish and Portuguese, but with the help of google translate we were able to communicate very well. He is very helpful and will do anything to accommodate your wishes and needs. He helped with the trip to Isla das Rolas (the Equator trip) as well as with the trek to the foot of Cao Grande. Oh, by the way, you can see Cao Grande from the alcove on the premises or from the point where the river runs to the sea. Also from the river itself. There is wifi at the reception and around, and this wifi is good, reliable and strong. The entire complex is totally eco, powered by solar energy only. Breakfast is included in the price, but dinner can be ordered with Tomás. It is usually fish or octopus and, together with the breakfast can become a bit repetitive so I advise you to bring some provisions with you.

Casa Luis está en São Tomé y ofrece vistas al jardín, piscina al aire libre, jardín, salón de uso común y terraza. La habitación en casa particular ofrece wifi y parking privado, ambos gratis. Está muy cerca del aeropuerto por lo que para una primera estancia de trámite es perfecto. Nosotros lo aprovechamos más que eso ya que el trato que nos dieron fué muy bueno y como teniamos que ir a Principe nos facilitó mucho el estar cerca del aeropuerto y también visitar todo el norte de la isla. Te sirven un buen desayuno y un punto importante es que puedes lavar ropa allí mismo, así puedes ahorrarte la mitad de la maleta. El sr. Luis siempre nos dió un trato muy amable y dispuesto a ayudar, a parte del personal de limpieza y guarda, el alojamiento lo lleva el solo con su mujer y no molestan para nada por lo que estás practicamente como en casa. Muy contentos de nuestra estancia en casa Luis🤣

GENTE D'AQUI Ngê D'ai êê está en São Tomé, en la región de Sao Tome Island, a 6 min a pie de Praia Izé. Ofrece alojamiento con wifi gratis, zona de barbacoa, jardín y parking privado gratis. Great spot with amazing view from bed where waves will sing you to sleep. Located in the community but still isolated. People in the community are very friendly, local bar recommended to experience the vibes. Hosts Sara, her brother and Joao will do everything to make your stay unforgettable. They speak English as well.

El lodge Mucumbli se encuentra en la localidad de Ponta Figo y ofrece un restaurante y conexión Wi-Fi gratuita. Room with absolutely fantastic view, comfy and spacious rooms, super clean, a great beach down and friendly staff. The restaurant is also delicious.

Hotel Kenito se encuentra en São Tomé, a 7 min a pie de Praia Emília, y ofrece alojamiento con piscina al aire libre, parking privado gratis, jardín y terraza. clean and new rooms, comfy bed, good wifi and A/C, nice pool, but above all great host and staff - they were extremely helpful and fulfilled literally every wish i had :) i'd recommend to go for their rental cars too - the local car rental agencies i had were not very reliable and i got really old cars (but inexpensive, ok) ;)

Baig's Guest House está en São Tomé y ofrece bar. El hostal o pensión también dispone de wifi gratis y servicio de traslado de pago para ir o volver del aeropuerto. Las habitaciones están nuevas. Tienen aire acondicionado (algo bastante difícil de encontrar en el resto de alojamientos de la isla). Está bien ubicado y la verdad que las habitaciones eran muy cómodas, amplias y estaban muy limpias.

Gombela Ecolodge and Farming está en São Tomé, a 2,1 km de Praia Piscina, y dispone de alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis, terraza y restaurante. Cada habitación dispone de patio. The food was always amazing and so fresh. The lodge was extremely peaceful and in close proximity to some of the nicest beaches of the south. The staff were phenomenal and made my stay that much more special. I ended up extending for an extra three days because I didn’t want to leave! Will be back.

Domus Guesthouse dispone de piscina al aire libre, jardín, terraza y restaurante en Santana. The breakfast is personalized instead of a buffet. I didn't even have to request it. Soon after I sat at a table I was served by an ample sort of food. Local fruits, ham, cheeze, and more. I tried several kinds of brewed tea. For those that love lemon, I suggest to try the Chalela tea :). The location is slightly away from the city center, about 5 minutes from car. This both gave me a calm area for sleep and relaxation, and made it quick to get there whenever I needed, which suited my needs perfectly.
