The position is great to visit the central/western part of the peninsula.

Many thanks to the guesthouse host who noticed that my tire was running low on air. Not only did they kindly help me inflate it, but also recommended a nearby repair shop, saving me from what could have been a serious problem. The guesthouse itself was very comfortable, and I truly appreciate the host’s thoughtfulness!

The apartment was in a fantastic location in town - a short walk from the one small grocery store, a restaurant, and a waterfall. It was also an easy drive to all the amazing sights in the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. The kitchen and bathroom were recently updated. The kitchen has all you might need to cook - including an ample supply of spices and oils to use. All in all this was an amazing place to stay for our first two nights in Iceland.

The bright and spacious rooms at Langaholt have simple décor and a private bathroom with shower. Guests can enjoy the scenery from the shared terrace or dine at the on site restaurant. Without realizing it while booking we ended up in 'the fancy room' (according to the staff, but we agree). Very nice view of the coast and the glacier. Top breakfast and top buffet-style dinner (for a correct price). All home-cooked with local ingredients, which we really appreciated (some of the best food we had in Iceland). We saw the chef cleaning and filleting (big!) fish in front of the hotel, which was quite an experience. Very warmly recommended! p.s. The Snaefellsnes peninsula is so beautiful. It was definitely one of the highlights of our tour of Iceland, not to be missed!
