Stay here. The fan was more than enough air conditioning, the sheets and mosquito net felt brand new, spending hours talking with the people here was so special. I didn't want to leave! I can't say anything about this place apart from I loved it. The beds on the beach, the hammocks, speedy WiFi in the main areas. They lent me a yoga mat, were patient with my limited French, showed me how they fished - they offered to take me to town but I just loved resting here. As a woman travelling on her own I felt so thankful to how kind and generous this place is and very very lucky to stay.

19 km from Basse-Casamance National Park, Oasis club is a recently renovated property situated in Cap Skirring and features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. My husband, teen-age son and I spent 5 nights at the Oasis and are so happy we chose this hotel. I loved the oasis feel of it. When we opened the gate and saw the green grass and all the beautiful shrubs and trees so artistically laid out, we immediately felt refreshed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing. We loved the fact that the jams, honey were local. Also the bananas came from the banana grove just behind our bungalow. We were able to rent ebikes right next to our hotel. Also there was transport passing by frequently, so it was easy to get to restaurants.

I arrived in the pouring rain. Nathalie and her gardiner, Julien, met me at the entrance. Nathalie held a huge umbrella for me while Julien took care of all of my baggage. The room is pristine with picture windows overlooking a fecund garden with a large baobab tree just to the right. The bed and pillows are comfy with nice accents. There is a hot shower which was a welcomed relief from the long trip from Dakar. The area is very quiet, except for the chirping of birds that are also lovely to see. This property is a great value and the host is extremely hospitable, helpful with local information, very warm and kind. I highly recommend this place.
