Tranquility No 42 Port Haverigg Marina, a property with a garden and a bar, is located in Millom, 42 km from Lake Windermere, 43 km from Wasdale, as well as 49 km from Scafell Pike. Loved the views and the accommodation was really comfortable with everything you needed for a few days. Bed very comfortable. Ski Bar on site had good meals and lots of drinks choices and the staff were very accommodating. Very dog friendly. Try Riva Gelato just over on the campsite which has lovely ice creams to choose from. Easy to get to lots of different places from where we were. We were unfortunate enough to encounter almost a full day of heavy rain but the accommodation has a good TV with lots of channel choices so we were able to keep entertained when we couldn't get out. Communication with the owners was excellent. We will be visiting again.

Received directions and lockbox pin code almost instantly, was able to store my pedal bike on the patio, the caravan was spotlessly clean and the wifi was fast, theirs a Smart TV with free view, I used it to watch YouTube, appliances were easy to use, fresh milk of my choice was waiting in the fridge along with quality biscuits, the place is scenic, I was able to get fresh sea air whilst I rode my bike around the coastal path, exactly what I was after for a overnight static caravan stay.

Everything outstanding host, location, facilities, communications and outstandingly immaculate. All the additional touches with the guides, the walk laminates and visits by the ducks . Westcliff is a beachfront property situated in Seascale, 700 metres from Seascale Beach and 10 km from Muncaster Castle. Great location with wonderful views of the sea, rooms comfortable, quiet and super clean, a lot of information about Cumbria available in various books and a warm welcome upon arrival.

Situated in Barrow in Furness, Victoria House features accommodation with access to a garden. The property has sea and mountain views, and is 43 km from World of Beatrix Potter. We had such a great stay here! We used it as a base to explore the Lakes from - much less crowded and touristy, and everyone we encountered on Walney Island made us feel so welcome! The hosts at Victoria House were lovely and the room was exactly what we wanted: comfy bed, gorgeous bathroom (with a clawfoot tub to soak in after a big day of walking!). Will absolutely be back!

The location is just breathtaking. Love the tour of the house along with all day breakfast concept. The booklet of the things to do in that State and near us along with all the details of restaurants and cuisines with menu was a cherry on the top. Love that the hosts went the extra mile to make us feel very comfortable.

Located in Whitehaven and only 30 km from Wasdale, Croft Hill Guest House provides accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. Had plenty of character and felt like home. Very very quiet which is what we were looking for as in countryside away from busy traffic. Lovely breakfast. Very clean and tidy. Staff very friendly.

Situated in St Bees, within 24 km of Wasdale and 24 km of Muncaster Castle, Lulus features accommodation with a garden as well as free private parking for guests who drive. Comfortable and well-appointed room with everything I needed, great location for my needs but also close to the beach and village centre. The host was really friendly and relaxed. Self-service continental breakfast was varied and plentiful.
