The owners of this very nice and clean posada will give you the warmest welcome, they have a colourfull garden (with somesurprises!) en house and you stay directly at the water. You will have a little balcony, as well as a kitchen and free filtered water. The room itself can be a bit noisy with sounds of neighbours. If this one is full, you can ask to stay at the posada of their familiy, also amazing, lakeview, clean and quiet! 2 mins walking. Make sure you take the collectivo to ; Restaurante Ve amar! 2 mins walk from there.

The best about this hostel is people who work there, always extremely helpful and nice. The breakfast are amazing too! I really liked that there's a water and tea available all day long, nice patio to sit and chill and AC in the rooms. Hostel helps with everything including trips and transportation tickets, leaving the backpackfor the day too. I enjoyed staying there a lot!

Loved this place so much, I ended up booking for an extra 2 nights. Andrea was a fantastic host, very accommodating. Room was large with A/C and it was great to have a coffee machine in the room.

Just loved the plant-covered terrace looking out over the water and the boats coming and going . Right outside the room and a great spot to chill out (and do your washing or listen to music or a podcast!)

Great spot, very chill vibes and super helpful information for continuing our travels. Also amazing drinks at the bar! Would love to come back again when the lake is less full and the beach is more accessible. El Remate is a gem and so nice to stay here rather than transiting back to flores after visiting tikal and before moving eastward to Belize.
