Self-catering and more than adequate. A microwave oven may have been the only suggestion I could make to the kitchen, and repairing the handle of the stove door. Everything else was fine. Well presented, great location, easy to catch bus, and as the title suggests, a leisurely walk from the centre of Torshavn.

The apartment is in a perfect setting for visits to Torshavn with almost everything in easy walking distance including supermarkets for any food top ups. The harbour offers a relaxing and always changing vista and we loved watching the fishermen and ferries coming and going. The apartment is immaculate, beautifully designed and well appointed with fantastic integrated technology. The architectural spiral staircase up to the bedroom is the only thing visitors should bear in mind for anyone with mobility challenges (or if you’ve been on a long hike!!). We left the ground floor blinds up on the first night to make it easier to see to head down to the bathroom but after that we didn’t need to. The hosts were super friendly and easy to communicate with. One hint for tourists from NZ and Australia is to download an offline Google map before you arrive into the Faroe Islands. The hosts provide excellent instructions for getting there from the airport, but our phones did not work. We would stay at this apartment again in a flash!
