We really enjoyed our stay at Frédérics property. It was such a perfect location - walking distance from two big supermarkets, a 5 minute bike ride to Puerto Viejo town and a 15 minute bike ride to Punta Uva. The house is quiet as it is back from the main road. It was also clean and comfy and very fairly priced for the area. Frédéric was a great host very responsive and even helped us out a lot, his dog is very cute. Would recommend!

A beautiful property with a lovely pool and outdoor seating area. The air con was powerful, the villa was spotless and the host and his daughter were wonderful and so welcoming. The main beach is a short drive away. There is secure parking with a locked gate and someone on site throughout to help if needed. We saw some great wildlife too!

The location is about 500 metres away from the beach but it's located on a high slope so you get views of the ocean from the apartment. The sunrise view is very pretty. And they have constructed a cemented driveway which is just wonderful.

The place was great, beautiful, well decorated and very maintained. We had everything we needed and more. The kitchen is equipped with everything you can think of and all like new! It sure is and by far, the best place we've been in Costa Rica. Tom was wonderful, so helpful and always there to assist. We've been there for only two nights and wish we could spend there a lot more. The bakery beneath the hotel is super delicious and great as well. Thank you very very much for the wonderful stay.

Everything was just perfect. We travelled with our 3 children. When we arrived, Juliana was for the moment away (next to the Jungle Villas), but it was so sweet that she left us a really cute note to the gate😊 which has her number and says that we are really welcome and she will come back immidiately, when we call her. It was lovely. It was like home- clean, nice pool, great area and as we love to walk, it was walkable to the Puerto Viejo and back, even the kids. Two grocery stores near the villas and if you search you can find pink bananas also😉 And there is a sloth living close to Jungle Villas, amazing! Thank you, Jungle Villas! Definately recommend🙏

We really enjoyed our stay at Black Bamboo. Tonet & Nadia are exceptional hosts who made sure we felt welcome and were available all the time throughout our stay. The room was cleaned every day and laundry service was included, which was very valuable for us as a family with a small kid. The hosts even offered us sweet pancakes for breakfast some of the days, which was a very nice gesture. They also helped us figuring out the transport from San Jose to Puerto Viejo de Talamanca and connecting us with the driver directly, which was very helpful. All in all our stay has been great and we highly recommend Tonet and Nadia’s Black Bamboo for a nice and relaxing stay on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica.

Great and hidden "secret" small boutique accommodation nearby Puerto Viejo del Talamanca (20-30 minutes walk) and Playa Negra (5 minutes walk). The hosts were very welcoming and friendly and they gave some good tips and hints e.g. for Cahuita national park visit. The accommodation is in separated houses with one spacious room and huge terrance. Each morning they are serving a coffee at 6:30AM before actual breakfast time (07:30AM). It was to drink coffee in the morning in the terrance and listen the jungle / garden sounds. The place also have nice small garden and big roof terrance to walk / stay.
