From the moment we arrived, we knew Boutique-Hotel Bauer, was going to be something special. The atmosphere is unlike anything we’ve experienced – cozy, inviting, and full of character. We opted for the upper room with two sides of windows, and it was pure magic. The views of the snowy rooftops and ski slopes were stunning, and the best part was being able to watch the action right from our bed. It truly felt like a winter wonderland. The food was absolutely outstanding! Every dish is a delightful blend of flavors, beautifully presented, and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. A true culinary experience that elevates the stay. The bathroom was spacious and charming, with a small window. The heated floors were such a thoughtful touch, especially during the cold days—it made the area feel extra warm and cozy. The spa, though small, was well equipped and had such a peaceful vibe. Everything in the hotel was well-organized, clean, and clearly cared for. You could tell the team took pride in making it a perfect home away from home for their guests. And speaking of the team—they were exceptional. The vibe in the hotel felt like one big family. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and truly went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The location is also perfect. The ski rental shop is just around the corner, and the slopes are only a six-minute walk away, even with full gear. The village itself is adorable, and the other guests staying at the hotel were just as pleasant, making the whole experience even better. We truly can't wait to come back! Boutique-Hotel Bauer is a hidden gem that offers more than just a place to stay—it offers an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend!

Located directly on the ski slopes in Alpendorf near St. Johann im Pongau, the 4-star superior Hotel Oberforsthof offers the highest quality and excellent service for your summer or winter vacation. Variety for breakfast and dinner was excellent. Snacks choices were good. Annika found me a suitable box to ship home ski gear after I was injured. It was a huge weight off my mind and off luggage. 😁 After moving to another lovely hotel in Bad Hofgastein, we recognize just how comfortable and cared for we were at Oberforsthof. A 10-minute walk from the centre of Saalbach, Hotel DIE SONNE offers a spa area with an indoor pool, and rooms featuring a balcony overlooking the mountains. Free WiFi is available in all areas. The hotel was perfect. Very well run family hotel. All staff were warm, friendly and attentive. Everything was kept exceptionally clean. This includes all the public areas such as the toilets, the sauna and the spa area. It runs a complimentary shuttle service that takes guests to the lifts and back (only 5 min ride away but a lot easier by car). There was a good selection of food. Breakfast offer was excellent. The room was spacious with good storage space, a balcony and a bath. There was an evening entertainment on one of the nights with a local musician - Peter W., which was excellent. He got everyone dancing. There is a kids club for non-skiers but we didn't use it as our daughter went to a ski school. We had a fabulous holiday. Thank you!

Hotel Kendler is a family-run 4-star-superior hotel in the pedestrian zone in the heart of Saalbach, only a few minutes’ walk away from the cable cars and the Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang ski, hiking... Excellent location, great breakfast. Our room was fabulous, had a great dinner in the restaurant one evening.

Located right on the shore of Lake Fuschl, Landhotel Schützenhof offers a restaurant only for hotel´s guests, a spa area, a bar with an open fireplace, and a private beach featuring a terrace and a... The location is unparalleled. Easily accessible from Salzburg via the 150 bus. The town is much more lively in the summer when the water is warm enough to swim, but we quite enjoyed the more quiet nature in late May. We spent our first day soaking up the sun in the private seating area by the lake, reserved for patrons of the hotel. Although our second day was drizzly, (had to cancel our stand-up paddle board reservation) we still made the best of it & took a beautiful walk around the lake, then took advantage of the spa at the hotel (saunas, water massages/jet tubs, water beds, an infrared chamber). The crowning jewel of the trip was by far the accomodating nature & hospitality of the family Vogl, who run the hotel. I could not speak more highly of them. We arrived in town 4 hours before we could check in at 15:00, and they were happy to hold our luggage until then at the front desk. I had warned them in advance when booking the stay that my mom has celiac & cannot have gluten, and during our breakfast (an INCREDIBLE spread, unlike anything I’d ever seen at a breakfast buffet), they brought out all sorts of gluten free options specifically for her to eat. As we had to head out before breakfast on our last day, our stay concluded with the AMAZING 5-course dinner put together by the hotel. You must reserve at least a day in advance, and was worth far more than the €32 a person that we paid to sit by the lake & enjoy our delicious food. My mom was blown away by the fact that they made a special cauliflower soup for her for her allergy, and offered her high quality gluten free rolls. We cannot say enough about this trip of a lifetime and recommend to anyone.
