What I liked about the hotel is the interaction with the local people. It offers local touch in the reception; the hotel had a lovely shop which visitors can buy locally sourced/crafted gifts. Common area had an inviting atmosphere. Staff are knowledgeable and helpful to recommend activities in Koumak.

Beach House Lodge is a little piece of paradise and definitely the best place we stayed in New Caledonia. Beautifully designed, with every detail considered and wonderful staff. We couldn't fault it other than we wanted to stay longer! The cottages are fully self catering and very spacious. You can also eat at the charming restaurant if you fancy a treat. We had a wonderful breakfast looking out over the ocean. The grounds are beautiful, with wild horses roaming the property and amazing sunrise and sunset views. Free access to kayaks and paddle boards means you can access the local marine park at your leisure and if the weather isn't good there is a very well equipped games room and library at your disposal. Jeremy and Sarah are wonderful hosts who are very happy to help and organise local adventures. It's also very eco friendly. Ticks all the boxes and excellent value for money.
