Six Senses Laamu is a luxury resort surrounded by clear turquoise water and white sandy beaches. Its villas come with a 37-inch flat-screen TV and Bose entertainment system. Rooms offer free WiFi. From the moment we arrived at Six Senses Laamu, we knew we were in for a treat. The warm welcome from the staff, the stunning views of the turquoise waters, and the peaceful ambiance of the island all contributed to a sense of relaxation and tranquility. We would like to extend a special thank you to Shah for going above and beyond to make our stay at Six Senses Laamu truly unforgettable. Your attentiveness and support made our experience remarkable. The beaches at Six Senses Laamu are some of the most beautiful we have ever seen, and we were impressed with the hotel's commitment to sustainability and care for marine life and animals. It was heartwarming to see the efforts being made to protect the environment and preserve the natural beauty of the island. The food at Six Senses Laamu was exceptional, and we especially loved the breakfast with its broad range of choices. The waffles were a particular highlight, and we looked forward to them every morning. Overall, our stay at Six Senses Laamu exceeded our expectations in every way. Good food Resort is new, large room, comfortable bed, nice bathroom, terrace with sofa Daily free snorkeling excursions, water sports staff is nice However: Not much of a beach, except in front of the bar; beach is in the shadow in the afternoon. Weak wifi. Lots of corals that hurt the feet, shoes are necessary, seaweed in the afternoon (see pictures). Unsuitable for swimming: shallow water - ankle-deep at low tide and waist-deep at high tide. There is a manmade swimming channel in front of the bar, quite limited. Therefore, the only snorkeling possible is through an excursion. We tried swimming in the lake, but the water is very warm there, it’s like swimming in a bathtub and in addition the water is dirty (see pictures). There is a pipe bringing the sewage of the hotel to the open ocean from behind the port, you can even see it on the satellite if you look closely. Depending on tide/current, this water comes back into the lake. Apart from lack of beach/swimming, the worst was the transfer issues and the complete disregard of customers.

Excellent hotel, quite a large island with well-kept grounds, villas in good condition, excellent service. Varied and tasty menu in restaurants. We were very pleased with our stay at this hotel.

Everything Ahmed has been very helpful and reactive all the time, even before we booked the accomodation. He was always there for us when we needed, always doing everything he could to make this stay unforgettable. The girls cooked for us some delicious food, always with the smile and they made our room every morning very clean and nice. The guys on the boat to take us surfing were super friendly, always ready to take us to different spots at whatever time we will ask. They even took us surfing 1h30 away from the island! They took some very nice pictures of us surfing with our camera, spending hours doing it in the heat. I was amazed.. The bbq they made for us at the beach was delicious!! Thanks so much to all of you to have made this holidays epic! Oh and the room we had was super big!! We didn't expect that at all for the price..

The staff (Roshani) was absolutely fantastic… very gracious, helpful and always a smile :) The owner, Ahmed, went above and beyond! Assisted with many questions and booked my boat to and from Male. Very helpful. Thimarafushi is a small, quiet island for relaxation, and snorkeling day trips.
