This family-friendly hotel in the Marchwald Forest is 5 minutes from the A5 motorway and a 10-minute drive from Freiburg city centre. It was clean, beautiful and well-kept, just like in the photos.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The spacy accommodation was equipped with everything we needed – from practical kitchen tools to all the facilities that made us feel right at home. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into ensuring guests have a comfortable and hassle-free experience. The location was ideal – peaceful and quiet, yet still very close to a lovely park and other local amenities. It truly offered the best of both worlds: tranquility and convenience. Public transport was right around the corner, and while we had a bit of bad luck with nearby tram station construction during our visit, under normal circumstances it would have been incredibly easy to get around. The hosting family was so warm, welcoming, and helpful. You could ask them anything, and they were always ready to assist with a smile. Many thanks for letting us stay! We would definitely recommend it. 😊

Penthouse-Appartements am Güterbahnhof is situated in the Herdern district of Freiburg im Breisgau, 2.1 km from the old town. Colmar is 37 km from the property. The apartment was immaculate and so bright and spacious. Comfortable beds, a nice space to socialize in. Enormous bathroom! Downstairs was a bakery which was super! A ten minute stroll to the tram and 15 mins to Freiburg city centre.

The rooms were good and well equipped.The staff was friendly and decent. The exceptional thing was their breakfast, a wide variety of items to eat for 16 bucks which is not a lot if you think with a brunch perspective.
