The host was incredibly friendly and helpful, always available if we had any questions or needed advice. We especially appreciated the stylish interior and the calm atmosphere of the place. It was the perfect base to explore the island, and we would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

The accommodation is very spacious, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The large terraces do not belong directly to the accommodation but can be used as well, just like the washing machine. The bed was very comfortable, and everything was extremely clean. We felt very comfortable and recommend this stay.

We loved the location right at the bay with a nice balcony to observe the daily live. You can sit there for hours and not get bored. Our host was a very nice guy who takes good care of his guests. He also arranged a good rental car to explore the island as he had a car rental business too so that is pretty convenient. Sao Nicolau is a fantastic place to visit, the locals are extremely friendly.

O aparthotel realmente já não é recente e a decoração não é propriamente contemporânea … mas isso pouco importa, na verdade! A limpeza estava impecável, com manutenção diária, a equipa foi super disponível e prestável, o Sr. Gabriele sempre facilitador! Mesmo o pequeno-almoço estava óptimo, e com possibilidade de pedir mais, mas chegou! Os equipamentos e utensílios também eram mais do que suficientes. Quanto a comentários sobre a pressão da água ou internet, temos que ter a noção que estamos numa ilha com recursos limitados. A referir algum ponto menos positivo, apenas o conforto do colchão. Quanto à localização … não há palavras! Vista da varanda: TOP! Pertíssimo do centro, supermercados e gare marítima. É só atravessar a estrada e estamos na praia, óptima, boa água e sem correntes perigosas! Sentimo-nos também muito seguros, e apesar de algum barulho de obras, as noites são super tranquilas! A menos que o barulho dos galos ou dos burros soltos pela ilha vos incomode… O ponto alto: o Sr. Gabriele tem uma parceria com um Guia Local, o Edu, com quem passeámos pela ilha a um preço justo. O Sr. Edu fascinou, é uma excelente pessoa, super empenhado e com orgulho na sua terra, verdadeiramente local, partilhando com carinho as histórias da sua avó e da sua mãe, enquanto nos levava aos sítios mais incríveis da ilha! Com ele, sentimos realmente o que é “morabeza“… recomendamos!

Bed & breakfast Regina localiza-se em Tarrafal, na região de São Nicolau, e tem um terraço e vista da cidade. Casa da Regina is a great place to stay. It doesn't serve breakfast, at least in low season, in May, when I came, but there is nothing saying it does, just the place name, maybe at the beginning they did. Admin questions are difficult to solve to it in understandable that they didn'tchange the name. The sea view in front of the window, the sea sound and the breeze are amazing. As it is a bit away from the center it is quite. Regarding some of the remarks I read: yes indeed there are some kitchen utensils missing like the one to open a tuna can, or a wine bottle, but you just need to go downstairs at ask Regina or any family member and they will open it for you, it is a nice way to socialize and no bother for them. You need to remember that there is no ikea, and that maybe in the past the other guests took the utensils with the or broke them and they cannot keep putting stuff that we bake or take with us. On weekends the kiosk in front can become lively with neighbors coming, drinking beer and grill, but it will end way before midnight and if you see bothered with the noise, you just need to ask and they will pay attention. Tourists always complain: or there is not enough music or there is too much...I am amazed with the criticism I read and the lack of kindness and empathy with a country where people are so nice

The inside is clean and simple. The staff was very nice and friendly. Very large beds to sleep in and different room options. Breakfast is included with room rate. The lodge is located about a 15min walk from town so it's away from the hustle and bustle of the town. Very quiet and calm place to relax. Do not recommend walking back to lodge in the dark. Definitely take a taxi.
