I booked the place last minute despite my in and out internet service. (Not to self pay for a month of international service next time you travel). Anyway, I was arriving past the checking time but Florita the host had no problem. As an aside I was planning on taking the Water Taxi to Puerto Barrios, Guatemala from there. She was kind enough to set up a taxi ride for me and even made me an early breakfast. (Ask her how to find a ripe Papaya). Punta Gorda is a small town. Fun to wander around but for me I enjoyed the sounds of nature and silence. Oh! the rooms and apartments are lovely.

I would say this is one of the most memorable dorms I’ve stayed in so far. It was very easy to reach the lodge with the local bus line from Hopkins. If I do ever visit Belize again, this is the first place that would come to mind!

Tropical Magnolia tiene piscina al aire libre, jardín, restaurante y bar en Hellgate. Staff was professional & attentive. Lunch & Dinner was exceptional. The cabanas were perfectly equipped, clean and relaxing. Cannot wait to return!
