The hotel is in a great setting with views down to the ocean one way and close to the Mt Scenery trailhead, and just a few minutes walk from the beautiful village of Windwardside which has a good shop and several restaurants. The rooms are spacious and clean, with a balcony. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially managing with our loss of the first night due to a boat problem. The pool is a nice place to sit, but the weather was too cool for us to use it. But cool weather is good for hiking! The island is fantastic! Hotel is good value for money.

Finding a good and affordable place on Statia can be a challenge, but I was very happy to have 'discovered' this gem. The location is just perfect. The appartement is spacious with everything you can expect. The best restaurant on the island is right next to it, actually it part of the same building. It is true that during restaurant hours you will have guests dining next to the place. It was not a disturbance for me at all, and the good part, every morning you have the place for yourself. Your private terrace next to the ocean. The neighbors at Gin House serve a breakfast if you don't want to make it yourself. I loved the Nespresso coffee with cups being replenished every day, same goes for new bottles of waters every day. Great service that makes a difference. The place was clean and comfortable.

I will definitely return to this hotel.

Staff was super friendly and helpfuff. The location is really great to visit the museum, fort or even hike the Quill trail.

Decent couch and living room area. Wifi worked fine. Quiet. Flexibility with late checkout really appreciated. Not some gorgeous waterfront location, but the island is small enough that in a couple of minutes (by car) you're wherever you want to be: right in town or out in the middle of nowhere.

The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the private beach with its striking black sand, which created a truly unique and unforgettable atmosphere. The beach is just a short walk from the property and provides a serene, peaceful environment perfect for swimming and relaxing by the water. The water was ideal for a refreshing swim. It’s a great spot to unwind and enjoy nature in a quiet, beautiful setting. Whether you want to float in the calm waves or simply lay back and enjoy the view, this beach is an absolute paradise.

Beautiful place, spacious. The hosts prepared excellent dinners. Friendly, quiet. You can sit outside even when it rains. A car is helpful because it is out of town.

Loved the location, which is slightly outside of the main town in the middle of nature. The little houses have a view of the ocean and you can hear the goats and birds roaming around outside the property. The bed is super comfortable and large size, making it the perfect place to relax with a view of the ocean. Or to go down to the pool for a refreshing swim. Tony, the manager is super friendly and always ready to help. The island itself is super sweet, not super touristy, but still with nice tasty restaurants by the harbor or a more authentic eating experience in town. Would highly recommend
