The location, The staff were excellent, The food was amazing, the staff made us Pilau even though it was not on the menu, Stanley and the kitchen staff were very hospitable, as so did the wait staff. We stayed in Merine cottage and Our housekeeper was always polite and punctual, she deserves special recognition. Benjamin was also always smiling and very helpful. We enjoyed the beach and we believe its one of the best beaches in Watamu

Located on Watamu beach, the luxury Medina Palms features unique architecture and a tropical garden, outdoor swimming pool with sun loungers and views of the Indian Ocean. The staff: Peter, Gideon, Juma and Patrick at reception were courteous, fulfilled all our wishes and communicated very well with the relevant departments. We immediately felt at home. As I am vegan, it is a bit difficult for me here in Kenya to always choose something from the menu. The waiter Dena was very courteous, understanding, helpful and very knowledgeable. He went through the menu with me every day and always gave me very good advice so that the chef could cook it. Employees like him should be encouraged and appreciated more. Waiter Robert always gave us something to laugh about at the bar and the drinks were very good. No headaches the next day, he was a pleasure to work with. Many thanks to Sofia from the breakfast service, she always had a smile on her face and sweetened our day so we could start the day well. Margaret's pancakes are a must at Medina Palms, they are delicious. Mercy, our housekeeping queen. She wowed us every day with new room decorations Always very lovingly done now I can say I have always slept on cloud nine at Medina Palms. Thank you, Queen Mercy. An appeal to the management of Medina Palms staff to show more encouragement and appreciation the facilities and location are not worth 5 stars for me. The heart of Medina Palms is the staff. Offering a spa and wellness centre, 2 pools surrounded by palm trees, Hemingways Watamu is located on the beachfront of Watamu. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning and free WiFi. I loved the view from the rooms!!(*a bathtub with such a view would just be perfect)Not to mention how well I'd sleep at night due to the air conditioning.The staff were great always ensuring our room is clean and tidy everyday!!The pools were also amazing, I mean I could go on and on!!
