Sauternes is a very pretty village but also a very small one-horse town. we arrived on a Monday and all the restaurants were shut and the 1 tapas bar that is open doesn't allow for dogs (we chose this because there was a review from someone who was driving from the Uk to Spain, the same as us, and had a dog and they recommended this bar, however I think the policy has changed since then. Our hosts weren't very hospitable and sent us to Langon telling us there was a lot open there, however, there was only 1 bar serving terrible food. We wouldn't visit here again.

Sauternes is a jewel and at the same time a miracle – a sleepy tiny town among vineyard-covered sweeping hills of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine doesn't seem to have anything to offer, not even a supermarket. But the appearances are misleading – it's a perfect base for visiting the innumerable chateaus that have been producing France's most expensive wine for at least two last centuries.
It was an exceptional experience with a super gracious innkeeper. Pascale was charming and very accommodating to requests and offered good information on the area and highlighted the most interesting chateaus to visit. We would highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting vineyards in the Bordeaux, Sauternes area seeking a peaceful, serene location away from the usual crowds. Each bathroom and guest room were thoughtfully designed with comfort in mind….a wholly satisfying experience on all fronts! Highly recommended!
Our best regards to the employee, who organized the snacks to the wine in the backyard. Very nice place. Sauternes just near by. Plenty of options to taste the wines.
I would just recommend to consider the alternatives to offer you guests to try/purchase or have tasting of your wines in hotel after 6PM. Not only in the shop/tasting zone near your hotel. We had only 1 night at your hotel, we had to put extra effort to have this setup. but at the end we were very happy.
Great little spot for a night in Sauternes. Centre of town. Recently renovated, tasteful decor. Good shower and bathroom. Aircon appreciated.
Nice hosts and lovely simple breakfast in the sun. My daughter loved the pool!
Minutes to walk to local restaurants - including the delightful La Petite Guinguette and Le Saprien. Close drive to Chateaux including the famous Chateau D’yquem ( tour highly recommended!)
Wonderful place in the middle of the vineyard, big comfortable room and wonderful breaktfast served in the garden under the trees. We walked over to the Boutique and had a "Degustation" of the wonderful Sauternes and learnt all about the process of doing a Sauternes. It was wonderful!
Lovely chateau hotel just a short walk from the centre of Sauternes village. Welcoming staff, beautiful bedroom and good breakfast. Great views over vineyards. Good recommendations for places to eat in the village.
Nice boutique hotel lovely room Joe with outdoor terrace. Comfortable bed modern bathroom etc. free bikes. Great location and amazing restaurant on site. Highly recommend the restaurant. Loved our stay.
A really nice B&B in the absolute middle of Sauternes. Good breakfast, clean room with all needed utensils, good communication with the host, and excellent restaurant recommendation too. Will stay again.
